Water Mill

Loading map...

The ancient Greek-style water mill, dating from the late 18th century — recently restored, fully operational, and open to visitors — is located within the WWF “Grotte del Bussento” Nature Reserve in Morigerati. Powered by a spring with very high water pressure, it is an integral part of the Ecomuseum’s cultural landscape, the result of the coexistence between humans and natural resources.

This site is deeply rooted in the town’s history and traditional agricultural economy; it was used until the 1960s for soaking wheat and producing linen and flour.
