A community that recognizes, regenerates, and resonates.
Cultural infiltrations in stubborn landscapes
TRANSLUOGHI — Ecomuseo del Bussento Contemporaneo is a project of the Municipality of Morigerati, funded by the Operational Program for Action and Cohesion, complementary to the National Operational Program for Culture and Development (FESR 2014–2020), and by the Ministry of Culture. The project aims to create an integrated system for promoting tourism in the Morigerati area, in the lower Cilento region, by enhancing and connecting the area’s landscape resources with the vast intangible heritage preserved by its inhabitants — through a rich cultural program of experiential activities modeled on the Transluoghi residencies, a format that has been consolidated over the years.
The Ecomuseum — officially recognized by the Campania Region in December 2024 — is, in fact, a collection of places, sites, and points of environmental and cultural interest located throughout the territory and linked to the life stories of the town’s residents, preserving its past and present memory. It is realized through signage and land art installations, a system of tourist itineraries, a sustainable mobility plan, and the enhancement of digital tools made available to visitors and operators.
The co-creation process that led to the establishment of the Ecomuseum — coordinated by Transluoghi’s team of community managers — took place within the framework of the artist-in-residence programs included in the organization’s tourism and cultural calendar, which is managed by the L@S Association; it was supported by the local community and by groups of travelers from outside the area who visited Morigerati.
